Manage the full, centralised Supply Chain Management (SCM) function for uMngeni Water Services, ensuring that the SCM function is fair, equitable, transparent, competitive, and cost-effective in line with the Procurement Plan.

1. Manage the efficient acquisition of day-to-day, single source, repetitive (contracts), emergency, and projects based supplies and services to ensure that business and legislative requirements are met.
2. Manage processes, operations, and support functions to ensure sustained initiatives aimed at cost reduction, process improvement, and compliance with SCM policies and procedures.
3. Manage SCM support processes to ensure that internal and external stakeholders' business and legal requirements are met.
4. Manage employees within the SCM Department.
5. Manage the levels of compliance and efficiency on a monthly basis to ensure the agreed business and compliance requirements are met.

1. Matric with BComm (Honours) Degree in Finance / Commerce or Post Graduate Degree or Diploma preferably in Purchasing Management, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or financial environment.
2. Code EB Drivers License.

A minimum of 5 - 8 years of progressive experience within Procurement / Supply Chain Management and Finance environments at a senior position within the organization.

1. Advanced level of Computer Literacy in MS Office.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Excellent understanding of the organisation and divisional strategy and objectives.
4. Extensive knowledge of and experience in the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework.
5. Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations.
6. In-depth knowledge of B-BBEE and Preferential Procurement legislation.
7. Previous experience in the management of inbound call centers will be an advantage; Human Resource Management.
8. Extensive knowledge of Budgetary and Financial Management; Risk Management.
9. Knowledge of JD Edwards and Document Management System (e.g. Vital Records) will be an advantage.
