An educational institution in Durban is seeking a Part-Time Lecturer for the School of Education, specializing in Introduction to EMS. The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications including an Honours degree or higher in Business Management or related fields. Responsibilities include lecturing, marking, and classroom management, with emphasis on excellent communication and organizational skills. This role operates under an Independent Contractor agreement.
Qualifications
- Lecturing experience in management, entrepreneurship, or related fields.
- Experience as a general or strategic manager, risk manager, or entrepreneur.
- Experience in EMS-related subjects such as Business Management.
Responsabilités
- Lecturing to students in the School of Education.
- Marking student assignments and exams.
- Managing classroom activities and student engagement.
- Attending departmental meetings and contributing to discussions.

Formation
School of Education – Part‑Time Lecturer – Introduction to EMS. Direct reporting line to the Head of Education. The role is offered by IIE Varsity College, an educational brand of The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE), registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) and accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE). The vacancy is in the Durban North Campus.

- Honours degree in Business Management, Strategic Management or Entrepreneurship.
- Alternatively, Bachelors degree in one of the Business Management related fields (e.g., entrepreneurship, contemporary, general, strategic, economics, supply chain/logistics management) to the second year (NQF6) or third year (NQF7) of an undergraduate degree.
- Alternatively, a Bachelor degree with Business Management or a similarly related field to the third-year level PLUS either an MBA / MBL or a postgraduate diploma in business management or education.
- Lecturing experience in general, contemporary and/or strategic management, entrepreneurship, risk management, supply chain and/or logistics management, project management.
- Work experience as a general or strategic manager, risk manager, entrepreneur, supply chain manager or project manager.
- Involvement in the process of analysis and components/functions of optimisation in the operational process (Theory of Constraint).
Experience in EMS‑related subjects such as Business Management and/or Economics.
This is an Independent Contractor role.
