Job summary
A healthcare services provider in South Africa is looking for a Supervisor for the Accounts Department. This role involves overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with billing and record-keeping standards, and developing team members. Candidates should possess Grade 12 or equivalent and have 3-5 years of supervisory experience, with a good understanding of HR policies and financial procedures. Strong computer skills are required, and familiarity with the healthcare industry is an advantage.

To supervise the daily operations within the Accounts Department to ensure that the department and company goals are achieved.
- Supervise and develop team members
- Compliance with Best Practice to achieve set goals
- Ensure billing submission and receipting processes adhere to best practices
- Ensure compliance with safekeeping of patients records to maintain confidentiality
- Grade 12 or equivalent

- 3-5 years experience in a supervisory role/capacity
Understanding of private healthcare industry; Basic HR principles
- HR policies; systems; procedures and relevant legislation (including recruitment and performance management)
- Sound financial knowledge (e.g. reconciliations; debits and credits; adjustment journals; etc.)
- Business to Business Processes
- Medical schemes policies; rules; regulations; and tariff rules and structures
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
- Relevant aspects of legislation for the debt collection environment (e.g. National Credit Act; Consumer Protection Act; etc.)
