Main Purpose of Job

To supervise the daily operations within the Accounts Department to ensure that the department and company goals are achieved.

  • Supervise and develop team members
  • Compliance with Best Practice to achieve set goals
  • Ensure billing submission and receipting processes adhere to best practices
  • Ensure compliance with safekeeping of patients records to maintain confidentiality
Required Education
  • Grade 12 or equivalent

  • HR policies; systems; procedures and relevant legislation (including recruitment and performance management)
  • Sound financial knowledge (e.g. reconciliations; debits and credits; adjustment journals; etc.)

  • Medical schemes policies; rules; regulations; and tariff rules and structures
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Relevant aspects of legislation for the debt collection environment (e.g. National Credit Act; Consumer Protection Act; etc.)
