Mpumalanga & Limpopo Area South Africa: Our client is looking for an Entomologist to join the team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

1. Scientific qualification in Agriculture, with preference given to a postgraduate degree in entomology or plant pathology.
2. 3 years practical experience in the field.
3. IT strengths, particularly in MS Excel and similar programs.
4. Analytical skills.
5. Ability to focus on detail.
6. Strong and ordered administrative capabilities.
7. Good verbal and written communication skills.
8. Professional friendly disposition.
9. Ability to work independently and as a good team player.
10. Fully bilingual in English & Afrikaans.
11. Valid driver's license.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY AREAS INCLUDE:

1. Provide professional recommendations for the effective commercial control of agricultural pests and diseases on citrus.
2. Monitor pest and disease status throughout the year, advising farm (and marketing if required) management on risk and market suitability.
3. Provide support to farm management to ensure effective pest and disease scout reporting.
4. Audit production pest and disease management.
5. Make proposals for and conduct relevant pest and disease field trials.
