Responsibilities
Are you an accomplished Banker or Industry Specialist with a proven track record in commercial client acquisition and revenue generation? Our client is seeking a high-impact professional to manage and grow high-revenue commercial portfolios in the northern region, focusing on sustainable value creation and strategic cross-selling across the broader financial group. Be the difference that impacts their world.
- Acquire new commercial clients with annual turnover between R30 million and R1 billion through prospecting and networking to achieve market share growth.
- Be a trusted advisor to commercial clients in specialised industries (Agri, Franchise, Fintech, Manufacturing), staying current with economic trends like green energy and sustainable agriculture.
- Perform in-depth financial needs analysis and recommend tailor-made solutions to meet client needs.
- Prepare and present large and complex credit applications and partner with the credit manager to manage credit risk and minimise potential impairment.
- Proactively identify and generate revenue through cross-sell strategies for Commercial Banking and the broader Group.
- Leverage subject matter expertise to support the digitisation of clients in line with the 4th Industrial Revolution dynamics.
Experience
- A total of 4-5 years of experience in Relationship Management within the financial sector is required.
- 2-3 years of experience in Business Acquisition is essential.
- 5-7 years of experience in Agriculture is highly advantageous.
Qualifications
- Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees.
- Must have completed a BCom / BSc Agric. CA / CFA or MBA would be an advantage.
- Valid unendorsed driver’s license and own reliable transport.
- Expertise in Governance, Risk and Controls, Negotiation skills, and Data Analysis and Interpretation.
- Strong in Sales Negotiation, Business Acumen, and Building Trusting Relationships.
