Job Overview
We are seeking an Engineer with a mindset for continuous improvement to join our team in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Install InstaChef vending machines, ensuring proper connection of electrical, mechanical, and network components.
- Perform tests on machines after installation to verify they are fully operational and meet all functional specifications.
- Conduct regular maintenance and servicing of machines to ensure optimal performance, including cleaning, calibration, and replacing worn-out parts.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues in a timely manner to minimize service disruption.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and electrical system inspections.
- Use diagnostic tools and procedures to identify issues with vending machines, such as mechanical jams, electrical faults, or software errors.
- Improve vending machines’ performance and efficiency by providing effective troubleshooting and engineering support for operations.
- Perform upgrades to hardware and software as needed.
- Provide effective solutions for breakdowns or malfunctions and perform emergency repairs when necessary.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring the availability of key components needed for repairs. Order necessary parts and equipment as needed.
- Provide on-site technical support and respond to service requests promptly.
- Assist the customer service team with remote problem resolution on order issues.
- Assist with customer order issues and enquiries. Process refunds for customers if needed.
- Support daily distribution operations. Assist supply chain in replenishment of company products.
- Meet set productivity goals. Work to improve and increase customer satisfaction.
- Understand simple electrical schematics and floor plans.
- Carry out electrical works including laying cables, trunking, conduits, and installation of electrical components.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during installation, repair, and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- 3-5 years' relevant experience in automation systems and hands-on technical experience.
- Able to work in rotated shifts (including night shift).
- Basic knowledge of PLC and electrical systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Meticulous and result-oriented.
- Able to multi-task and work under tight timelines.
- Good team player but able to work independently.
- Willing to learn, self-motivated, with a positive attitude.
- Resourceful in seeking methods/solutions to solve problems and achieve targets.
- Able to start immediately.
