Sales Engineer jobs in Singapore

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Automation Technician to join our team! As an Automation Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant's automation equipment, including Autonomous Mobile Robots, Automated Strapping and Unstrapping Equipment, and Automated Materials Handling Systems.

In your new role you will:

1. Troubleshoot, recover, and resolve equipment breakdowns on plant automation equipment such as Autonomous Mobile Robots, Automated Strapping and Unstrapping Equipment, Automated Materials Handling Systems, Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems, and Automated Packing Equipment.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve basic computer hardware and software issues independently or with IT engineer assistance.
3. Perform system and server recovery on automation and manufacturing systems, including storage systems, transportation systems, and remote command centers.
4. Assist engineers with software roll-outs and periodic system/server OS and AV patching and updates.
5. Impart basic operation and troubleshooting skills to operators.
6. Perform critical checks and restoration on automation equipment.
7. Perform preventive maintenance on automation equipment.
8. Support engineers on continuous improvement programs for equipment.
9. Assist engineers with spare part management.

You are best equipped for this role if you have:

1. A diploma or equivalent in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
2. Preferably 3-5 years of relevant experience with automation equipment.
3. Team player with the ability to work independently.
4. Good interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
5. Willingness to learn and ability to acquire skills quickly.
6. Willing to work on 12-hour permanent day/night shifts.
7. NITEC / Higher NITEC holders are also welcome if they have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with automation equipment.
