Job summary
A reputable engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a detail-oriented individual with a Higher NITEC in Mechanical or related field. The role involves preparation and cost analysis, developing budgets, and liaising with subcontractors. Candidates should possess excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills. A background as an AutoCAD drafter is advantageous. This position offers an opportunity to thrive in a dynamic environment while managing various responsibilities.
Qualifications
- 2 years as an AutoCAD drafter is an advantage.
- A good project management ability.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and cost analysis.
- Analyze project specifications and prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Develop budgets considering labor, materials, equipment, and contingencies.
- Obtain quotations and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off.
- Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, and payments.
Skills
Education
- Preparation and cost analysis
- Analyze project specifications, quantify materials and resources required, and prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Develop budgets, considering factors such as labor, materials, equipment, and contingencies
- Obtaining quotations, liaising and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers
- Responsible for measuring quantities and taking off
- Prepare Variation Orders, claims, final accounts, settlement and sub-contractor payments
- Prepare tendering works for submission
- Higher NITEC in Mechanical or related field
- 2 years as autocad drafter is an advantage
- Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines
- Having a good communication and negotiation skills with attention to details character
- Having a good project management abilities
