M&E Manager (A1 main con, Complex Building Projects)

We are representing a reputable A1 main contractor with a strong track record in delivering large-scale and iconic building developments in Singapore. They are currently seeking an experienced M&E Manager for complex local building projects such as Integrated Resorts, Commercial Buildings, and Hotels.

About the Role

This is a 5-day work week position. The M&E Manager is fully responsible for the execution of the project, leading and mentoring the M&E team assigned. The role covers both engineering (technical) and project management (production) of Mechanical & Electrical services on site, ensuring successful delivery of complex building projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the project M&E team, including M&E Coordinators, Site Supervisors, BIM Modellers, and M&E QS
  • Liaise with client project management, consultants, employer’s representatives, and resident engineers/technical officers for design and site coordination
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities and technical agencies (e.g. SPPG, PUB, LTA, SCDF) for interfacing, services connection, and compliance
  • Manage nominated and domestic subcontractors and vendors to meet contract requirements, quality, and timelines
  • Handle M&E contract matters including costing, variations, progress claims, and payments
  • Prepare and manage M&E work programmes aligned with the main construction schedule
  • Monitor M&E progress to meet project milestones and internal targets
  • Resolve complex site coordination issues beyond the M&E coordinators’ level
  • Ensure compliance with contract specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Provide timely project updates to management
  • Lead, coach, and develop M&E team members while promoting safe work practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Services
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience delivering a full suite of M&E services in complex local building projects
  • Minimum 5 years of people management experience
  • Proven experience in Integrated Resorts, Commercial Buildings, Hotels, or Mixed-Use Developments
  • Strong hands‑on experience in both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines
  • Experience in tender works is an added advantage
  • Experience managing large‑scale projects (S$100M and above) and working with an A1 Main Contractor is preferred
  • Strong technical, coordination, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills
  • Adaptable, resilient, and collaborative leadership style
