Global Commodity Manager, Strategic Sourcing
Job summary
A leading data technology company is seeking a Commodity Manager in Singapore to shape the global supply base through strategic sourcing, supplier leadership, and cost management. The role involves developing category strategies, securing contracts, and driving supplier innovation to deliver measurable savings. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's in Supply Chain or related field and at least 5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement. A strong background in negotiation and supplier relations is essential, along with a focus on sustainability in sourcing.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in sourcing, procurement, or supplier management.
- Experience with supplier negotiations and global strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain global commodity strategies and sourcing roadmaps.
- Lead supplier selection, RFI/RFP/RFQ, and negotiations for LTAs.
- Drive supplier segmentation, QBRs, and corrective action plans.
- Deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, and productivity targets.
- Identify and mitigate risks across capacity, supply continuity, and compliance.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Ops, and R&D for innovation and design-to-cost.
