Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator oversees the daily scheduling, coordination, and tracking of moving and transport operations. This role ensures that vehicles, manpower, andequipment are allocated effectively to meet client requirements and operationaltimelines. Working closely with drivers, movers, and customers, the coordinatarmonitors service quality, resolves issues, and supports operational efficiencyto uphold Ascent Services’ standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule and coordinate daily moving jobs and chauffeured vehicle assignments, ensuring optimal route planning and resource allocation.
  • Communicate job details, timelines, and special requirements clearly to drivers and moving crews to support smooth execution.
  • Monitor service quality by reviewing completion records, customer feedback, and incident reports, escalating issues for timely resolution.
  • Prepare and manage fleet maintenance schedules, ensuring vehicles are inspected, cleaned, and serviced according to operational requirements.
  • Track manpower allocation, ensuring moving crews are assigned appropriately based on workload and client needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of job assignments, vehicle usage, and operational expenses for reporting and analysis.
  • Responsible for inventory management of moving equipment and supplies, ensuring availability and proper usage.
  • Liaise with customers to confirm service details, address inquiries, and provide updates on job progress.
  • Coordinate with management to identify process improvements that enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction.
