Join us as a Accountant in Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong & Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong! You’ll have ambition, talent, and obviously some key skills because we’re looking for someone who can:

1. Assist in coordinating the preparation of the departmental annual budget
2. Assist in monitoring and controlling departmental cost on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget
3. Assist in the preparation of the hotel strategic plan, goals program, and Finance Departmental Budget
4. Coordinate and communicate with other departments in matters concerning accounting-related issues and internal control
5. Interact, as required, with individuals outside the hotel including the hotel’s bank, tax auditors, and other hotels and IHG corporate offices
6. Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures to improve the workflows in the accounts department
7. Review and correct the daily revenue journal
8. Maintain and ensure proper updates of daily transactions to ensure accuracy of information and entries, including food and beverage transfers
9. Prepare and input journal entries for month-end closing
10. Provide assistance in analyzing monthly financial accounts and provide financial information to the Finance Manager
11. Control all balance sheet accounts by preparing monthly account reconciliations and actions accordingly
12. Prepare monthly bank and inventory reconciliations
13. Specifically review the accounts payable balance to ensure accuracy and propose action and follow up to ensure a clear balance with limited over 90/120 day amounts
14. Review accounts payable purchase journal and accounts payable/inventory interface
15. Review travel agency commission payments
16. Maintain and ensure proper updates of contracts, licenses, CAPEX, Fixed Asset Disposal Forms, etc., in a timely and accurate manner
17. Coordinate with 3rd party data processing company/payroll software company as requested
18. Maintain relationships with CPF/MOM/Labour Offices to ensure rates of pay are correct and current, and maintain current copies of labour/union agreements for all positions
19. Assist in monthly forecasting and yearly budget input in relation to payroll data
20. Prepare all other payments and submissions to local authority on specific timing
21. Coordinate and administrate in CSA

Qualifications and requirements

High School Diploma / secondary education / equivalent plus two years of experience in a similar capacity in the hospitality industry.
