Job summary
A leading offshore inspection company in Singapore is seeking a qualified individual to assist with inspection work in the offshore industry. Candidates should have a GCE 'O' Level or equivalent, and preferably possess MPI Level 2 certification along with BOSIET/HUET certifications. The role involves performing gear inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and completing necessary administrative tasks. This position requires someone who is physically fit, resourceful, and able to work independently.
Qualifications
- GCE 'O' Levels or its equivalent.
- Preferably with MPI Level 2 certification.
- BOSIET/HUET certifications required.
- Experience in inspection services is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Assist with inspection work related to the offshore industry.
- Perform lifting gear inspections and proof load testing.
- Ensure all inspection jobs comply with necessary standards.
Skills
Education
- Assist with inspection work related to the offshore industry.
- Perform lifting gear inspections and proof load testing.
- Understand and comply with safety requirements at all job sites.
- Carry out wire rope inspection after attaining necessary qualifications.
- Complete administrative paperwork prior to commencement of work at various job sites.
- Ensure all equipment required for inspection jobs are prepared in advance, including cleaning, washing parts or buffing tools.
- Ensure all inspection jobs are done in accordance with clients’ requirements and in line with all relevant and applicable standards within stipulated time line.
- Compliance to all local and/or international safety regulations and established internal work procedures.
Educational Qualification and Experience
- GCE ‘O’ Levels or its equivalent
- Preferably with MPI Level 2 certification
- BOSIET/HUET certifications
- Similar inspection services provider experience
Skills and Abilities
- Resourceful, physically fit to lift/carry equipment for jobs
- Meticulous and independent individual, with sense of initiative and able to work under minimal supervision
- Good communication skills to converse with clients on job requirements
