General Description
The incumbent plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the Management Information Systems (MIS) unit. This role focuses on ensuring the accurate and timely completion of data processing, adjustments and generation of periodic MIS reports, supporting the overall integrity of the bank's MIS framework.
Main Duties:
- Perform daily and month-end closing data processing tasks, which may include data extraction, data entry, data validation, and data reconciliation. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data inputs into the bank's MIS systems.
- Handle adjustments and corrections to data, as necessary. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, identify errors, and implement necessary adjustments to maintain the accuracy of management, financial and operational information.
- Support the generation of timely reports by ensuring data inputs and adjustments are completed within established deadlines. Contribute to the preparation of regular management reports and dashboards, providing accurate and reliable information for decision-making by senior management and various stakeholders.
- Assist in maintaining the integrity of data within the MIS systems. Perform data quality audits, identify data anomalies or inconsistencies, and collaborate with other teams to rectify and reconcile discrepancies.
- Support the annual budgeting process and initiatives involving setting of stakeholders' Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain proper documentation of operating procedures and records of data processing and adjustments. Keep track of data sources, processing workflows, and any changes made, ensuring data traceability and auditability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Front Office, Product Management Group, Operations, and IT, to gather and validate data inputs and resolve any issues or discrepancies. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of any data-related concerns.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve data processing and adjustment workflows. Proactively contribute ideas to enhance operational efficiency, data accuracy, and overall effectiveness of the MIS unit.
- Perform and facilitate periodic survey submissions to regulators and external industry related consultancy firms.
- Participate in projects and new implementations that have an impact to MIS data extraction and reporting requirements.
Qualifications
Requirement:
- Degree in Accounting, Banking or Finance.
- Prior experience in a similar role, with a focus on MIS reporting within the banking industry.
- Basic knowledge of financial concepts, accounting principles, and banking operations.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and record-keeping.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve data-related discrepancies.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in data analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Python, Power BI).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities.
