Job Description
Overview: As a Delivery Director, you will serve as both a regional project director and a senior solution architect for our Planning, Budgeting & Financial Consolidation offerings. You will manage multiple customer programs from scoping to adoption, dedicating up to 50% of your time to pre-sales activities that generate professional services revenue.
Partnering with Sales Directors, you will shape deal strategies, scope Statements of Work (SOWs), and present delivery proposals to executives. Internally, you will mentor Solution Architects and Consultants, ensure delivery excellence, and own utilization and margin targets.
Key Responsibilities
Time will be split approximately as follows, depending on pipeline and project load:
Delivery & Program Leadership (~50%)
- Act as project director for large or complex implementations, overseeing delivery governance, commercials, and client success.
- Establish programme structure, communication, and risk management processes.
- Drive progress towards scope, schedule, and margin goals; resolve roadblocks early.
- Provide technical and functional guidance to Solution Architects.
- Promote delivery standards, agile practices, and continuous improvement.
- Resolve project issues promptly, maintaining customer satisfaction and commercial outcomes.
Sales & Business Development (~50%)
- Lead scoping workshops, craft SOWs with clear scope, staffing, timelines, and profitability.
- Collaborate on delivery roadmaps and value propositions to accelerate deals.
- Present proposals and architectures to senior leadership, establishing trust.
- Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities and pass qualified leads to sales teams.
- Contribute to revenue forecasting, pipeline reviews, and pricing strategies.
- Build relationships with implementation partners to augment capacity.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in delivering Enterprise Performance Management or Finance Transformation programs, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
- Deep knowledge of Finance, FP&A, and Accounting; hands-on experience with platforms like Anaplan, OneStream, SAP BPC, or CCH Tagetik.
- Proven success in scoping and negotiating multi-million dollar SOWs and exceeding KPIs.
- Experience leading dispersed, multi-vendor teams using agile/hybrid methods.
- Strong commercial skills, executive communication, and ability to translate complex issues into clear plans.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, or related; MBA preferred.
Travel Requirements:
- Willing to travel up to 25%.
