We are seeking passionate, spirited individuals to join the pre-opening team at Kimpton Riyadh, the first Kimpton hotel in the Middle East. Ideal team members embrace individuality and foster a work environment that is quirky, exciting, empowering, and exceptional.

Located in King Abdullah Financial District, in the heart of Riyadh, the hotel features 212 rooms and suites, with unique dining options, and is part of a LEED-certified landmark development.

• Preparation and Setup: Organize your workstation, ensuring tools and ingredients are ready.
• Ingredient Preparation: Wash, peel, chop, and measure ingredients for recipes.

• Assisting Senior Chefs: Support in preparation and cooking, following instructions.
• Basic Cooking Tasks: Handle grilling, frying, boiling under supervision.

• Consistency: Ensure dishes meet quality standards.
• Tasting and Adjusting: Taste and season dishes as needed.

• Team Coordination: Work with kitchen staff for smooth workflow.
• Learning and Development: Learn new techniques and participate in training.

• Guest Engagement: Assist in live stations or events, interact with guests.
• Feedback Collection: Gather feedback to improve skills and dishes.

• Inventory Management: Track ingredients and report shortages.
• Documentation: Maintain records of recipes and schedules.

• Cleaning and Maintenance: Sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Review and Plan: Reflect and prepare for the next day.

Working as a Commis Chef in a luxury hotel offers growth opportunities in a professional kitchen. It requires enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work under pressure.

Ideally, you have some or all of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Hotel or Business Administration
• 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
• Experience with international luxury hotel chains
• GCC exposure
• English fluency required, Arabic preferred
