Job description
SSAS Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain SSAS instances, including multidimensional and tabular models.
- Optimize SSAS cube performance, including partitioning, aggregations, and processing schedules.
- Implement and manage security roles and permissions within SSAS.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to SSAS processing, queries, and connectivity.
- Work with data architects and analysts to design and deploy SSAS solutions.
General Responsibilities
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability of BI tools and services.
- Perform regular backups, updates, and patches for BI tools and related systems.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices for BI administration.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between BI tools and business objectives.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in BI and data analytics.
- Building Analysis Services reporting models
- Migrating Self-Service Reports From Oracle BI and Tableau To Power BI Self-service
- Migrate Reports and Dashboards from oracle BI to Power BI.
Requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in administering and managing Power BI, SSIS, and SSAS.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and BI concepts.
- Experience with SQL Server, including T‑SQL scripting and database administration.
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices and tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Power BI administration, including Power BI Service and Power BI Report Server.
- Expertise in SSIS package development, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of SSAS, including cube design, processing, and optimization.
- Experience with data modeling, DAX, and MDX.
- Knowledge of data gateways, dataflows, and Power Query.
- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for automation tasks.
