1. Implement safety and security standards and internal policy and procedures. Prepare and communicate all safety procedures and precautions to take when working in hazardous conditions. Provide sound feedback to enhance policies.
2. Participate in pre start up safety reviews (PSSR) and implement in various process safety programs.
3. Participate in the site's Management of Change (MOC) process and audit MOCs for completion.
4. Provides engineering support and technical guidance/assistance on application of process safety technology in all applicable areas. Define PHA (process hazard analysis) and implement MOC (management of change).
5. Identify, evaluate and control potential hazards and risks within processes including hazard identification, risk assessments, mitigation planning and project implementation.
6. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for incidents and near misses.
7. Participate in the evaluation of technical details of engineering plans, designs and layout for appropriate safety measures and assist in data gathering and reporting activities as requested.
8. Assist in the routine quarterly safety and security inspections of all work areas to ensure compliance with safety and security standards at YASREF.
9. Participate in the annual safety audits and prepares the required material and tools used to check the compliance of various YASREF departments with YASREF policy on safety and health. Providing relevant periodic report.
10. Supervise Security and Safety systems technicians to insure Systems functionality, reliability and integrity.
11. Provide guidance and coaching to the Security Systems technicians to effectively carry out their day-to-day operation.
12. Participate in the preparation and design of the annual training and drill schedule for the division to ensure adequate coverage to both educational and monitoring safety measures throughout YASREF sites.
13. Complies with relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
14. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Risk & Process Safety Supervisor.
