Job Description:

Parsons are seeking an accomplished Construction Manager - Airfield to lead and oversee construction activities across all phases of a major airfield infrastructure project. The role requires strong leadership in managing contractors, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and schedule, and coordinating site execution of airside and landside works.

The ideal candidate will bring 15 years of experience managing large-scale infrastructure or airport construction, with deep knowledge of civil, structural, and MEP systems.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Manage day‑to‑day site construction activities across multiple work zones including runways, taxiways, aprons, terminals, and utility systems.
  • Supervise contractor performance, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, method statements, and specifications.
  • Monitor and enforce schedule adherence, productivity, and work sequencing.
  • Work closely with QA/QC and HSE teams to enforce safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Ensure all construction activities are executed in compliance with relevant codes, client requirements, and project controls.
  • Participate in safety walks, quality inspections, and audits.
  • Act as the primary interface between the client, consultants, and contractors on construction‑related matters.
  • Lead site coordination meetings, technical discussions, and resolution of field issues.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, logistics, and commissioning teams to ensure site readiness.
  • Monitor physical progress, maintain site logs, and support tracking against baseline schedules.
  • Provide regular reports on construction status, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Manage construction changes, NCRs, RFIs, and site instructions in collaboration with relevant teams.
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of construction management experience in large‑scale infrastructure or aviation‑related projects.
  • Proven leadership in managing site activities on complex, multidisciplinary programs.
  • Strong understanding of civil works, airfield pavements, utilities, and building systems.
  • Familiarity with construction codes, international standards (ICAO, FAA, GACA), and permitting.
  • Proficiency in construction management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Aconex).
  • Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • PMP or construction management certification.
  • Experience managing contractors on airfield projects (including AGL, fueling, navigational systems).
  • Middle East project experience preferred.
  • Fluency in Arabic is an advantage.
