In your role, you will oversee immigration, mobility, and eligibility processes for the Middle East offices, focusing on new hires and internal colleague transitions. Your responsibilities will ensure compliance with all legal requirements associated with these moves, maintain local HR processes, and support robust risk management. A key aspect of your role is to provide expertise on the Middle East Office (MEO) immigration process, with a particular emphasis on Saudi Arabia as a regional priority. You will guide colleagues in preparing for visa signature in their home countries and assist in completing issuance steps once in the MEO. Additionally, you will support colleagues on the ground by expediting blockers, which may involve visiting ministries and other government organizations as necessary. You will serve as an initial escalation point for challenging cases and liaise with firm immigration legal teams and external vendors as needed.
Your duties include managing the day-to-day operations of visa and work authorization processing and tracking. This involves gathering, preparing, and submitting all necessary materials, as well as coordinating with external vendors. You will implement clear and compliant immigration tracking and administration procedures to support various visa categories and work permits within the MEO. Furthermore, you will provide documentation for reports, audits, and analyses as required. Managing local mobility requirements, coordinating office approval processes, and submitting cases to the Mobility Center of Excellence for processing are also part of your responsibilities. You will coordinate relocation and office onboarding for transfers.
Communication and interpretation of Mobility & Immigration Eligibility policies and procedures are crucial, as is protecting the firm and its members from risk. This includes coordinating with firm expert teams to address eligibility risks, such as those related to tax, security, and employment law. Staying current on local regulations and coordinating with internal and external counsel on any changes is essential. You will share updated knowledge of relevant policy changes, trends, rules, and regulations with key stakeholders and senior leaders, including HR, Recruiting, PD, and Partners. Additionally, you will contribute to or lead other Mobility & Immigration Eligibility and HR projects beyond the scope of your role as needed.
