To support the Human Resources department in the effective delivery of talent development, acquisition, and engagement strategies. The Senior Executive will play a key role in ensuring the organization attracts, develops, and retains top talent while driving employee experience through structured engagement initiatives and events.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition
Assist in the full recruitment cycle: sourcing, screening, shortlisting, scheduling interviews, and onboarding.
Maintain updated job descriptions and job postings.
Manage relationships with recruitment agencies, job portals, and universities.
Track and report recruitment metrics and pipeline status.
2. Talent Development
Support the planning and implementation of learning & development programmes aligned to business needs.
Coordinate training needs analysis, training calendars, and employee learning records.
Assist in the administration and tracking of performance management cycles, including KPI setting, mid-year and year-end reviews.
Support the implementation of talent management initiatives such as succession planning, talent profiling, and career development frameworks.
Liaise with internal departments and external providers to organize workshops, upskilling sessions, and leadership development programmes.
Track training effectiveness and support HRDF claims and compliance processes.
3. Talent Engagement
Support the planning and execution of employee engagement initiatives (e.g., surveys, townhalls, wellness programmes).
Analyze feedback and propose engagement improvement actions.
Coordinate recognition programmes and communication of engagement efforts.
Maintain regular engagement touchpoints with employees to enhance morale and retention.
4. Events Management
Plan and execute internal HR events such as onboarding days, appreciation weeks, festive celebrations, and other culture-building programmes.
Work with vendors, venues, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of events.
Monitor event budgets, logistics, and post-event reporting.
Promote event participation and ensure alignment with corporate values and branding.
5. Other Responsibilities
Support other HR functions and initiatives as required, including HR operations, policy implementation, compliance, compensation and benefits, employee relations, and special projects.
Assist in reviewing and updating HR policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure alignment with internal standards and statutory requirements.
Assist in HR reporting and data analysis.
Undertake any other duties or assignments as may be reasonably assigned by the supervisor or management from time to time.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
At least 4-5 years of experience in a similar HR generalist or specialist role.
Good understanding of Malaysia labor law and HR practices.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines.
Familiar with HR systems and MS Office Suite; experience with HRDF processes is an advantage.
