Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive Technical Assistant who will support the inventory system migrations, device configuration, and system implementation. The ideal candidate must have strong IT skills, an ability to introduce new software, and a solid grasp of modular programming concepts to enhance automation and operational workflows.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support to Business Operations Manager
- Assist in implementation of operation projects, workflow execution, and reporting.
- Support implementation and documentation of new SOPs, processes, and system improvements for the new system.
- Coordinate with internal teams for each migration and integration.
- Provide accurate, deployment, and technical tasks.
2. Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Label and record all inventory accurately in the system.
- Conduct cycle counts and highlight discrepancies to the Manager.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.
- Execute system report testing and data generation.
3. Technical & Device Configuration
- Assist in reducing configuration time through technical improvements.
4. Systems & Software Support
- Assist in onboarding and maintenance of inventory and operational software (Gimbla, ERPNext, or other new (ERP) systems environment).
- Support system testing, feature evaluation, and new workflow rollouts.
- Perform data entry, adjustments, and extraction of reports from systems.
- Help train internal users on new software tools and features.
5. Introducing New Software & IT Skills (Key Requirement)
- Identify gaps in new operational systems and processes.
- Recommend and introduce new software or tools that improve efficiency and data accuracy.
- Support technology adoption across the warehouse and operational teams.
- Develop small automations or scripts to reduce manual workload (advantage).
6. Personal & Technical Capability Requirements (Modular Programming Focus)
The ideal candidate must demonstrate:
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to break down processes into modular, logical steps.
- Understanding of modular programming concepts, such as building reusable functions, components, or workflow scripts.
- Ability to design simple technical modules (tagging workflows, data-cleaning routines).
- Capability to troubleshoot both hardware and software with structured, systematic thinking.
- Curiosity to explore new software, technologies, and integrations independently.
- A mindset geared toward continuous improvement, automation, and efficiency-building.
- Discipline in documenting processes and technical changes with clarity.
Required
- 1–2 years experience in warehouse, technical support, logistics, or IT operations.
- Strong IT literacy and ability to learn new software independently.
- Understanding of hardware setup (POS, scanners, tablets, routers).
- Good organisational, analytical, and documentation skills.
Preferred
- IT/Technical diploma or certification.
- Experience with ERP or inventory systems.
- Basic programming or scripting skills (Python, JavaScript, SQL).
- Experience in process automation or modular workflow design.
- Experience in setting up In-house servers with some knowledge of cybersecurity. (Added advantage)
