Job summary

A logistics company is seeking a Warehouse Operative in Malacca City. The role involves safety checks on equipment, unloading and managing stock, and complying with safety policies. Ideal candidates should be team players, physically fit, and able to work in varying conditions, including shift work. An understanding of simple English is necessary, and candidates should be aged between 18 and 45. Opportunities for overtime may be available.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Carry out safety checks on the truck, material handling equipment (MHE) and any other equipment used in warehouse operation.
• Unload stock from supplier vehicles, collect supplier documentation and receiving labels.
• Check goods and highlight discrepancies.
• Escalate missing or additional stock to line manager.
• Manage material handling equipment (MHE) as per Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) to move and place stocks at racking or any other designated location.
• Scan assignment label and pick stock according to instructions from the arm mounted terminal.
• Apply the dispatch label to the pallet and take to the marshalling area.
• Take stock to the designated picking grid and assemble stock to the correct store lane.
• Secure a full pallet or roller cage ensuring it is neatly stacked and safe.
• Scan the label and dock barcode and load the pallet or roller cage of stock onto the back of the vehicle.
• Follow and carry out task as per warehouse standard operation process and follow instructions from Line Manager.
• Follow and comply to Warehouse safety policy, process & procedures at all time.
• Arranged or place goods at designated area. Remove and place damage stocks at designated location.
• Clean, move and reorganize stocks, equipments and materials.
• Assist warehouse management on ad hoc jobs.
