The Warehouse Supervisor oversees all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch. This role ensures efficient material flow, accurate stock management, and full compliance with quality and safety standards to support uninterrupted production and on-time customer deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities such as receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping of materials and finished goods.
- Ensure all fasteners are handled, labelled, and stored in accordance with automotive requirements and customer specifications.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, and Planning teams to maintain continuous material availability and smooth operational flow.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure all inventory transactions are accurately recorded in Dynamics 365 ERP.
- Lead monthly and annual stock counts, cycle counts, and investigate stock variances promptly.
- Prevent discrepancies through proper storage discipline, FIFO/FEFO enforcement, and compliance with documentation standards.
- Supervise, develop, and coach warehouse assistants, forklift drivers, and material handlers.
- Plan manpower allocation to meet daily operational priorities and shipment commitments.
- Conduct on-the-job training, especially on automotive handling, traceability, and customer-specific requirements.
- Enforce warehouse safety rules and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment following 5S and continuous improvement principles.
- Ensure safe and proper handling, operation, and maintenance of equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of documentation such as GRN, delivery orders, stock movement forms, and packing lists.
- Utilize Dynamics 365 ERP, barcode scanning, and tracking tools to maintain accurate and real-time data.
- Ensure proper traceability and labelling of automotive fasteners in line with customer, regulatory, and IATF requirements.
- Plan daily shipments and coordinate with transporters to ensure on-time delivery and accurate dispatch.
- Ensure correct packing, documentation, and labelling for local and export shipments.
- Liaise with planning teams and customers on shipment schedules when required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Warehouse, or related fields.
- Minimum 3–5 years of warehouse experience, preferably in automotive precision manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, warehousing documentation, and hands‑on experience with Dynamics 365 ERP.
- Good leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.
- Forklift license or forklift‑handling experience is an advantage.
- Solid understanding of safety standards, 5S, and warehouse best practices.
- Proficient in English; working knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage due to supplier and transporter communication.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements is an added advantage.
