Warehouse Manager (Manufacturing Industry)
Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse activities in a manufacturing setting, ensuring raw materials, components, and finished goods are stored, handled, and dispatched efficiently to meet production schedules and customer demands.
Key Responsibilities
Material & Inventory Management
- Manage receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials and components
- Track inventory levels and conduct cycle counts
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices for perishable or sensitive materials
Production Support
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure timely supply of materials
- Align warehouse operations with manufacturing schedules
- Prevent downtime by maintaining buffer stock
Logistics & Distribution
- Oversee shipping of finished goods to customers or distribution centers
- Liaise with transport providers for timely deliveries
- Resolve discrepancies in shipments
- Supervise warehouse staff and assign daily tasks
- Train employees on safety, equipment use, and SOPs
- Monitor performance and encourage continuous improvement
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce workplace safety standards (OSHA, ISO, RBA/WCA compliance)
- Maintain clean, organized, and hazard‑free facilities
- Ensure audit‑ready documentation for inspections
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS/ERP)
- Familiarity with manufacturing workflows and supply chain processes
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in management (manufacturing industry preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing management (preferred)
Performance Indicators
- Accuracy of material issuance vs. production demand
- On‑time delivery of finished goods
- Inventory accuracy and shrinkage rate
- Compliance with safety and audit standards
Language Requirement
- Proficiency in Mandarin and English (Mandarin speaker preferred to support cross‑cultural communication)
