Job description

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and distribution of goods. This role ensures smooth, efficient, and safe warehouse activities to support the company’s FMCG supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Warehouse Operations

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily warehouse operations including receiving, picking, packing, and dispatching goods.
• Ensure goods are stored systematically for easy retrieval and inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with the logistics and sales teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.

2. Inventory Management

• Oversee inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies, stock loss, and damage.Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation against system records.Work with the procurement and sales teams to manage stock levels and reorder points.

  3. Process & System Improvement

  • Develop and implement efficient warehouse layout and processes to maximize space and productivity.
  • Monitor warehouse performance and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure accurate data entry into the warehouse management system (WMS) or ERP system.

  4. Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse in line with 5S or safety standards.
  • Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and risk assessments.

  5. People Management

  • Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve departmental goals.
  • Plan and manage manpower scheduling and overtime.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and enforce disciplinary actions when necessary.

  6. Coordination & Reporting

  • Liaise closely with the logistics, purchasing, and sales departments for smooth coordination.
  • Prepare warehouse performance reports, including stock accuracy, delivery timeliness, and productivity.
  • Support internal and external audits related to warehouse operations.

  Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of warehouse management experience, preferably in FMCG or trading environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
