A logistics and fulfillment company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead a team, oversee inventory processes, and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a high-volume environment, strong leadership skills, and knowledge of warehouse management systems. Responsibilities include staff training, cost optimization, and workplace safety management. A bachelor's degree in logistics or supply chain management is preferred, and Mandarin language skills are an advantage.
Team Leadership & Management: Train, and supervise a team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure a motivated and efficient workforce. Arrange workforce based on schedule required.
Inventory and Stock Management: Oversee all inventory control processes, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping. Implement and maintain an efficient stock arrangement system to optimize space utilization, ensure inventory accuracy, and facilitate swift order fulfillment.
Cost Efficiency & Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. Analyze warehouse processes to identify areas for improvement, negotiate with suppliers and carriers for favorable terms, and manage the warehouse budget effectively.
5S Management & Workplace Safety: Champion and implement the 5S methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, and proactively address any potential hazards.
Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present regular reports on key warehouse metrics, including inventory levels, order fulfillment rates, labor productivity, and operational costs. Utilize data analysis to identify trends, make informed decisions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine warehouse workflows and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and procurement, to ensure seamless end-to-end order fulfillment.
