A leading logistics services provider in Malaysia is looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Manager to oversee warehouse functions and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and a diploma in Supply Chain or a related field. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing inventory management. The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and optimizing all warehouse and logistics functions, including shipping, receiving, picking & packing, inventory control, storage, and distribution of raw materials, work-in-progress items, and finished products in the food industry. This role ensures operational efficiency, inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance (including LMW), and alignment with company standards. The manager drives continuous improvement, develops the warehouse team, and supports business needs in a fast-paced environment.
Lead and manage daily warehouse operations to ensure smooth material flow, accurate inventory, and on-time delivery.
Plan and oversee inbound and outbound logistics, including shipping, delivery scheduling, import/export activities, and documentation.
Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, reconciliations, and ERP/WMS/SAP system updates.
Investigate stock variances, monitor stock aging and slow-moving items, and implement corrective actions or improvement measures.
Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to minimize costs and prevent overflow storage.
Ensure proper storage conditions in compliance with food industry standards (FIFO/LIFO) and regulatory requirements.
Promote and implement strategic continuous improvement plan in Warehouse activities.
Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, LMW regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Coordinate all external audits and ensure proper documentation and compliance.
Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs to ensure high-performance warehouse and logistics operations.
Maintain warehouse infrastructure by planning layouts, inspecting equipment, and coordinating repairs or replacements.
Facilitate communication and coordination with Procurement and other departments to support business operations.
Train, coach, and develop warehouse staff to enhance performance and operational capability.
Prepare monthly management reports with KPI tracking, cost analysis, and actionable recommendations.
Promote a safe working environment and enforce safety standards to ensure zero accidents.
Perform any ad-hoc tasks assigned by Management to support operational needs.
Required Skills and Qualification:
Minimum 10 years of experience in warehouse and logistics operations, including managing operational teams.
Diploma or higher in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of warehouse and distribution systems, inventory management, and international shipping processes.
Proven experience in the food industry or a high-volume transaction environment.
Hands‑on experience with LMW operations, including documentation and compliance.
Proficiency with ERP, WMS, and SAP systems is an advantage.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Strong leadership, team management, and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and ensure operational excellence.
