The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service tailored to the unique dining experience of Omakase, where the chef selects and prepares dishes based on seasonality, creativity, and guest interaction. The role requires strong communication skills, knowledge of Japanese cuisine, and the ability to anticipate guest needs in an intimate, chef-driven environment.

Qualifications
  • Malaysian Only.
  • Prior experience in fine dining, sushi bars, or Japanese cuisine preferred.
  • Deep appreciation for hospitality and Japanese culinary traditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of attention to detail, timing, and presentation.
  • Ability to work calmly in a fast-paced, intimate dining setting.
  • Basic knowledge of sake, Japanese ingredients, and food preparation techniques is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
  • Navigate tight spaces in a small, curated dining environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the chef and kitchen team to time courses and communicate dietary restrictions or preferences.

  • Monitor the flow of the dining experience and proactively respond to guest needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tables and service areas.
  • Handle special requests and resolve guest issues with discretion and care.
  • Educate guests on sake, wine, and beverage pairings that complement each course.
  • Assist with closing duties, including restocking, cleaning, and preparing for the next service.
