Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced tax professional to join our team as a Senior Tax Specialist. This role is responsible for managing direct/indirect tax compliance and advisory, supporting transfer pricing, stamp duty matters and tax‑related projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and excellent stakeholder management skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the role and contribute to the development of the tax function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns in compliance with Malaysian tax laws.
  • Provide tax advisory to business units on transactions and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with internal departments, external consultants and tax authorities on tax matters, audits and queries.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of transfer pricing documentation, ensuring alignment with the relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Provide stamp duty advisory and compliance support for relevant transactions.
  • Support tax‑related projects and assignments, including process improvements, system enhancements and tax planning initiatives.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation, assess business impact and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and records for all tax filings, correspondence and advisory work.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field.
  • Professional certification is preferred.
  • Minimum eight years of relevant experience in tax compliance and advisory.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, regulations and guidelines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Team‑oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach.
