Overview

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Vocational Teacher to deliver high-quality, career-focused learning in one or more vocational areas (e.g. Health & Social Care, Construction, Engineering, Hospitality, Business, or ICT). This role is perfect for someone passionate about preparing young people for further education, apprenticeships, or employment. Beginning ASAP.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons and workshops tailored to vocational qualifications such as BTEC, NCVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Provide hands-on demonstrations and real-world examples to inspire students.
• Assess and track learner progress, offering constructive feedback and support.
• Maintain industry-standard health and safety practices within the classroom or workshop.
• Work closely with local employers and training providers to enhance students’ career pathways.
• Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities.

Ideal qualifications

• Recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, PGCE or equivalent) or substantial industry experience with a willingness to gain a teaching certificate.
• Strong knowledge and up-to-date understanding of your vocational specialism.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills as a Vocational Teacher.
• Ability to motivate and support learners of mixed abilities and backgrounds.
• Valid enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
