Job description

We’re rebuilding our video team as we rethink how tech stories are told on YouTube.

This role is for someone who actively watches the YouTubers we aspire to be, not just for entertainment, but to study the work: how a shot is framed, how a scene is lit, and why an edit works. If you’re the type who pauses a video to ask, “How did they shoot that?” you’ll fit right in.

What you’ll work on
  • Lead video projects end-to-end, with a strong emphasis on planning and shooting before the edit ever begins.
  • Research products and features, develop intentional shot lists, scout locations, and plan shoots with a story in mind.
  • Shoot and direct footage using professional camera, lighting, and audio setups.
  • Edit both short-form and long-form videos in DaVinci Resolve, shaping structure, pacing, and clarity from the footage you’ve captured.
  • Adapt videos for different platforms while maintaining editorial integrity and a consistent brand voice.
  • Collaborate closely with the Creative Director and the wider video team to align visuals with story and tone.
  • Keep media assets organised and workflows clean, so projects remain easy to revisit and build on.
  • Stay up to date with evolving video formats, production techniques, and the broader tech landscape.
What we’re looking for
  • A shooter-first mindset: someone who thinks about framing, lighting, and coverage before thinking about plugins or presets.
  • Working knowledge of DaVinci Resolve (this is our primary editing tool); deep expertise is a plus, but strong fundamentals matter more.
  • Strong instincts for both social video and long-form storytelling.
  • A genuine interest in consumer technology – not just using devices, but understanding how and why they work.
  • Detail-oriented, editorially minded, and comfortable owning projects from start to finish.
  • Able to balance speed with quality in a fast-moving media environment.
  • Willing to learn, with good character (we’d love for a team member who would feel inspired in their day-to-day).

This role is for someone who wants to make watchable, thoughtful tech videos — work that’s planned with intent, shot with care, and edited to serve the story, not just fill a feed.
