Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Validation Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability by performing comprehensive electrical and functional validation, including platform/system set up and debugging. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in electrical engineering principles, a knack for problem-solving, and a passion for delivering robust solutions. Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python, is essential for automating tests and analyzing data.

Responsibilities:

Execute comprehensive test plans to validate both electrical and functional performance of our products.

Utilize oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other test equipment to measure and analyze electrical signals, ensuring adherence to product design specifications.

Perform product functional testing, verifying compliance with requirements and identifying potential defects.

Develop and execute test cases that cover both electrical characteristics (power integrity, signal integrity, timing) and functional behavior.

Troubleshoot and debug issues arising from both electrical and functional testing, collaborating with design, validation and software engineers to resolve problems.

Responsible for the setup and configuration of validation platforms and test systems. Ensure the validation platform is correctly configured for the required tests.

Utilize both hardware and software debugging tools for system-level issues debugging.

Analyze test data using analysis tools, generate comprehensive reports, and identify trends or anomalies.

Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate the collection of electrical measurements, and the application of functional test vectors, enhance test efficiency, and streamline data analysis.

Document test setups, configurations, and results in a clear and concise manner.

Assist in creating and being responsible in maintaining or enhancing test plans, procedures, and reports that encompass both electrical and functional validation activities.

Communicate test findings and recommendations to the engineering team, contributing to continuous improvement.

Communicate technical information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, circuit analysis, and digital/analog circuits.

Proficiency in using electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies).

Knowledge of software testing methodologies and functional validation techniques.

Strong scripting skills, with proficiency in Python.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.

Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.

Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) .
