A Brief Overview
Provide operational and administrative support to underwriting and claims teams, ensuring accurate case processing, data integrity, and compliance. Additionally, assist in project management initiatives and new product development activities, contributing to process improvements and innovation within the reinsurance business.
What you will do
- Case Intake & Workflow Management: Review facultative underwriting and claim cases received via central email inboxes. Create and update records in internal underwriting and claims systems and workflow tools. Perform initial case triage and route cases to appropriate underwriters or claims consultants. Check for prior records/history and consolidate case information.
- Data Quality & Policy Verification: Verify policy details and reinsurance parameters (cedant, treaty/fac terms, sum assured, benefit type, country/region). Reconcile data across Head Office queries and client requests; resolve discrepancies and elevate issues as needed. Ensure accurate data capture, coding and filing for audit-readiness and downstream analytics.
- Reporting & Analytics Support: Prepare operational, underwriting, and claims reports. Provide data extracts for internal audit, quality assurance, and management dashboards. Maintain trackers for turnaround time (TAT), work-in-progress (WIP), and data corrections.
- Coordination & Communication: Coordinate internal meetings, gather agendas, take minutes, and track follow-ups. Liaise with underwriters, claims consultants, client managers, and Head Office on case updates and information requests.
- Clerical & Administrative Support: Maintain orderly digital filing and documentation repositories. Support system testing (UAT) and process documentation for new releases, rules, and workflows. Perform other administrative duties as required by the underwriting leadership.
- Project Management: Assist in planning, coordinating, and tracking underwriting-related projects (e.g., system enhancements, process automation, operational excellence initiatives). Support project documentation, timelines, and stakeholder communication. Monitor progress and raise risks or delays to project leads.
