We are seeking a Power Transformer Specialist – Medium Voltage and High Voltage to join Service Division.
The Technical Services Division is responsible for providing and managing highly technical and specialized engineering services to support the safe and reliable operation in electrical power system generation, transmission and distribution networks.
- Oversee the trial production of transformers.
- Participate in sample production, conducting tests to verify performance and technical specifications.
- Address any issues encountered during the trial production process.
- Implement design optimizations and technical enhancements to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Develop testing, and maintenance of electrical transformers used in power transmission and distribution systems.
- Improve transformer efficiency, reliability, and performance while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with electrical utilities, manufacturers, and research teams to develop innovative solutions for energy systems. Responsibilities can include material selection, thermal analysis, insulation design, and failure diagnostics.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum Degree / Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in the related field and in Oil & Gas experience would be added advantages.
- Knowledge in reading schematic diagram and technical drawing
- Proficient in transformer structure and knowledgeable about manufacturing processes and workflows.
- Demonstrate distinct experience as transformer specialist; such as: contribution in international conferences as Transformer specialist or employment by leading Power Transformer Manufacturer.
- Have deep technical level insight in Transformer construction and design practices covering Distribution and Transmission type transformers related to diagnostic testing, Condition Assessment, aging characteristics / symptoms related to corrosion.
- Familiarity with transformers Factory Acceptance Test in a leading capacity demonstrating depth of compliance with manufacturing standards such as IEC.
- Strong understanding of any type of electrical equipment.
- Detail-oriented and meticulous with a strong sense of responsibility. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.
- Ability to work well in a team and on your own.
