Job description

We are looking for a Transfer Pricing Senior to join our tax team and support both local and regional transfer pricing engagements. This role involves managing end-to-end transfer pricing (TP) compliance and advisory work, ensuring alignment with Malaysian guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review Transfer Pricing Documentation (TPD) and benchmarking analyses in accordance with Income Tax (Transfer Pricing) Rules 2023 and Malaysian TP Guidelines.

Conduct Functional, Assets, and Risk (FAR) analyses and perform comparable searches using relevant databases.

Manage timelines, documentation, and communication with internal stakeholders and clients.

Prepare and submit TP filings, and handle Inland Revenue Board (IRB) queries and correspondence.

Participate in advisory projects, preparing proposals, technical memos, and reports.

Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Stay updated on the latest Malaysian TP developments guidelines.

Mentor and support junior team members in technical and project management areas.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, Economics, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g.,ACCA, CIMA, CPA, MICPA) are strongly preferred.

1–5 years of relevant work experience in transfer pricing, preferably in a public accounting firm or multinational corporate tax team.

Strong understanding of Income Tax Act 1967 (TP provisions), Income Tax (Transfer Pricing) Rules 2023, Malaysia TP Guidelines, IRB clarifications and audit procedures.
