Traffic Management Officer (6 Month Contract)
The Traffic Management Officer will lead and manage the Traffic Unit within construction projects in the water management and infrastructure sector. This is a 6-month contract role, aligned with the project timeline. The officer will prepare and implement Traffic Management Plans (TMP), Traffic Impact Assessments (TIA), and coordinate Road Safety Audits (RSA) to ensure regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include supervising staff and subcontractors, managing traffic control devices and lane closures, liaising with clients and authorities, and ensuring safety and efficiency on site.
The candidate should be available to start between December 2025 ~ January 2026.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily traffic management operations at the worksite in accordance with approved Traffic Management Plans (TMP).
- Oversee the placement, maintenance, and removal of Traffic Control Devices (TCD) in accordance with SOPs and safety standards.
- Plan and coordinate lane closures for routine maintenance, civil works, and M&E operations while ensuring proper communication and coordination with the project team.
- Ensure the effectiveness and proper functioning of all traffic management devices, including Smart Vehicles (SVs) and Traffic Management Vehicles (TMVs).
- Conduct site inspections to identify potential traffic risks and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of projects and timely approvals.
- Ensure and enforce compliance with all relevant regulations, including DOSH and CIDB safety requirements.
- Supporting other ad hoc relevant tasks that may be assigned to you while on the job.

Skills and Knowledge requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction, traffic management, or road maintenance.
- Understanding of the operations and processes in the construction industry.
- Valid certification as a Competent Traffic Management Officer (TMO) from CIDB.
- Strong leadership, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Data Centre experience is a plus
- Knowledge of local business and government rules and regulation.
