About the role

MST Golf Group is seeking an enthusiastic Tournament Operations Executive to join our team in Subang Jaya, Selangor. As a full-time role, you will be responsible for the seamless planning, organisation, and execution of golf tournaments and events hosted by our company. This position is crucial in delivering exceptional experiences for our customers and upholding the high standards of our brand.

Responsibilities

• Event Coordination & On-Course Management
  • Assist the Head of Department (HOD) in planning, coordinating, and managing all on-site tournament activities.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges during events.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure timely delivery of equipment, merchandise, and hospitality services.
  • Work closely with golf clubs, sponsors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with tournament requirements.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Collaborate with internal teams for on-course branding, custom merchandise, prizes, and hospitality setups.
  • Maintain clear communication across departments to ensure flawless execution.
• Project & Administrative Support
  • Assist in preparing tournament proposals, budgets, quotations, and client presentations.
  • Support post-event reporting, documentation, and performance evaluation.
• Operational Flexibility
  • Work non-standard hours, including weekends, evenings, public holidays, and travel to tournament venues.
  • Adapt to evolving event needs and provide hands-on support wherever required.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Event Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Prior experience in golf tournament operations or sports events is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to travel to golf venues.
