Job summary

A leading chocolate retailer is seeking a Tour Coordinator to plan and coordinate tours for various events, manage outreach materials, and maintain relationships with customers. The ideal candidate should be a fresh graduate or have 1-2 years of relevant experience, with excellent skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus. This role involves daily reporting, inventory management, and ensuring quality and cleanliness in the shop.

Job description

Plan and Coordinate Tours together of teams to work pre-arranged and maintain consistent schedule for festivals, agencies, school holidays, and/or any other public holidays.

Maintenance, distribution, and inventory control of outreach materials including stocks, promotional items, gifts merchandise, public relation materials.

Oversee complete routine inventory reports and to ensure stock levels are adequate based on projected and historic usage. Immediate requirements and track usage in order to submit timely reorders and to ensure restock timeline requirements.

Daily reporting of event activities via the email, website and blog. Provide reliable activity updates on a daily basis to the Superior.

Trained, keep teams informed and up-to-date via periodic briefings and updates on daily activities undertaken during the tour.

Received and process incoming orders from customer.

Establish and maintain strong relationship with existing and potential customers.

Responsible to maintain the quality and inspection of goods received from warehouse department with proper handling and storage.

To assist and arrange all goods tidily and creatively in the shop.

To ensure the cleanliness of the shop at all times.

Work closely with the customers to understand their requirements and to propose solution.

To attend and follow up on local and overseas customers’ enquiries.

Ensure services are provided to customers and handling their complaints promptly.

To undertake any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management from time to time.

REQUIREMENTS
  • Fresh graduates from diploma / related field or Tourism & Hospitality who are interested to start their career.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in tour coordination related roles within the retail operations industry.
  • Excellent in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients is an added advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle people and situations fairly, using sound judgment and integrity.
  • Possess strong administrative abilities with good organization, strong problem-solving skills, communication and effective interpersonal skills as well as strong analytical skills.
