Job description

The Test Manger is dedicated to ensuring that project/application meet the end user requirements and that all testing deliverables are fit for purpose. Test Manager will manage the full E2E Test Management life cycle of all the Functional Test Management deliverables. He or she will work closely with the Program/Project Manager to ensure that e2e test strategy applied throughout impacted applications are tested with high level of quality and are up to standards. This role is responsible for providing the effective management of test activities including standards and process development.

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Project Management, Finance, Banking, MIS, IT or equivalent experience
  2. 6 - 9 years’ extensive experience as a Test Manager or Test Lead in a reputed organization with experience in managing test projects
  3. Solid understanding of test project delivery and acceptance processes in a fast-paced business environment.
  4. A strong understanding of testing and automation technologies from both a technical and business perspective, specifically writing Test Plans, Test specifications and Test Reports

Experience in Banking industry

  • Strong experience in analyzing requirement by providing Test Estimation aligned with test strategy or good understanding and experiences in estimation techniques for testing
  • Ability to design test strategy, drive Test Planning and Design, Test Management, RCA (Root Cause Analysis), Defect Management, Reporting Test Results & Metric Measurement
  • Familiar with Testing Process, Methodology (i.e: Waterfall, Agile) and Techniques
  • Strong team management skill in medium scale of team size 5 – 10 testers
  • Allocate resources effectively across projects & assignments, balancing workload and priorities
  • Adaptability to handle unexpected issues and re‑plan test execution when needed
  • Manage risks proactively and ensure mitigation strategies are in place
  • Ability to analyze complex systems flow and identify potential risks
  • General ability to use a personal computer with familiarity in business applications such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Outlook
  • Familiar to use of test management tools, defect tracking systems (E2E to establish traceability) and version control systems
  • Familiarity with industry tools for automation (i.e: Selenium, Open Text, Katalon)
  • Good knowledge specific to banking industry, i.e: CARDS domain
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as proven ability to conduct presentations.

  • Decide on testability of requirements and highlight gaps or ambiguities
  • Approve requirement traceability matrix to ensure coverage in later phases
Design Phase
  • Decide on test strategy and approach (manual vs. automation, risk-based testing)
  • Approve test environment design and data requirements
Development Phase
  • Decide on entry & exit criteria for testing (e.g., code readiness, environment stability)
  • Approve integration points and test data setup
System Integration Test
  • Decide on test coverage scope and prioritization of test cases
  • Approve defect severity and priority assignments, and elevate critical issues
  • Decide on regression cycles, retesting strategies, and automation adoption
  • Provide sign-off authority for SIT completion before release
