Play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and usability of business applications. Working closely with Functional System Analysts (FSAs), this team is responsible for validating new features, supporting business users, and maintaining functional integrity across platforms. They serve as the first line of defense for reviewing and validating user‑reported issues (UAT and post‑rollout), ensuring that solutions meet business expectations before and after deployment.
Job Responsibilities
- Design and execute functional test cases based on business requirements and solutions designs.
- Perform regression, integration and use scenario testing across platforms.
- Identify, document and track defects using issue management tools (e.g. JIRA).
- Collaborate with FSAs and developers to resolve issues and validate fixes.
- Ensure readiness of features for UAT and production deployment.
- Act as 1st level support for functional issues reported by users (together with FSAs) – review, validate and document.
- Provide guidance to users on system functionality, known issues and workarounds.
- Maintain FAQs, user guides and support documentation to enhance self‑service.
- Assist in preparing Technology Risk Exemption (TRE) documentation in collaboration with FSAs, CISOs and relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure testing and support activities align with regulatory and audit requirements.
- Own and manage timelines for testing cycles, issue validation and support readiness.
- Coordinate with FSAs to ensure smooth go‑live transitions and post‑deployment support.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and support workflows.
- Partner with DevOps engineers to identify and automate high‑value test scenarios using tools such as Selenium, Postman, or JMeter.
- Ensure all requirements are tested and documented using tools like JIRA.
Required Skills & Experience
- 2 to 5 years of experience in software testing, functional support or quality assurance.
- Experience working in different SDLC environments (Agile & Waterfall Models) and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Ability to understand and validate workflows from a user perspective.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Effective communication and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in writing and executing test cases.
- Experience with testing tools, issue trackers and basic SQL or data validation.
- Familiarity with JSON, RESTful APIs, and Web services for functional validation and integration.
