A retail company in Malaysia is seeking a maintenance technician to assist with daily upkeep and repair of building facilities. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, conducting inspections, and coordinating with suppliers. The ideal candidate has technical skills, a certificate in Engineering or equivalent, and proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. This is a shift-based role requiring weekend and public holiday work.
Assist in daily maintenance, repair, and upkeep of building facilities including electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and civil works.
Perform general repair, painting, toiletry fitting, and plumbing tasks according to standards.
Troubleshoot and carry out hands‑on repair works promptly for any issues related to building structure or systems.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure all facilities and equipment are in good working condition.
Support preventive maintenance programs and report any abnormalities or unsafe conditions.
Coordinate with suppliers and contractors on repair or maintenance works when required.
Provide assistance during festive seasons, event setups, and marketing displays or decorations.
Ensure proper use and upkeep of tools, materials, and equipment.
Any other tasks or duties as assigned by superior from time to time.
To comply with PDPA and Sunway Compliance Manual.
To ensure that Personal Data is not disclosed to any unauthorized 3rd party without obtaining clearance from the Information Manager or the PDP Officer.
