Job summary

A leading property management firm in Penang seeks an Operations professional to manage daily functions and equipment in the Straits Quay mall. Responsibilities include inspecting mechanical and electrical systems, performing repairs, and ensuring facility upkeep. Candidates should have a Diploma in Electrical and Mechanical studies and at least two years of relevant experience. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required. Shift work may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of relevant experience in building maintenance.
• Experience in a retail environment or property management is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations and equipment functionality at Straits Quay mall.
• Inspect Mechanical & Electrical equipment regularly.
• Perform preventive planning for equipment operations.
• Record and report all faults and deficiencies.
• Service and maintain the car park system.

The position is based in our Penang Office in Malaysia.

Job Purpose

• The primary role of the incumbent is to manage the daily operations and functioning of equipment and facilities at the Straits Quay mall.
• Inspection of Mechanical & Electrical equipment on a daily basis
• Preventive planning on the future operations of equipment and defect rectification
• Repairing and servicing of the air-conditioning system
• Record and report all faults, deficiencies and any other unusual occurrences
• Inspection, repairing & servicing include day to day operations of the car park system
• Able to do plumbing & sanitary works assigned.
• Able to prepare/ plan for material & pulling cabling for minor electrical works
• Upkeep the store and maintenance room
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior from time to time

Requirements

• Diploma/Certificate in relevance to Electrical and Mechanical studies
• Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in building maintenance. Experience in a retail environment, shopping complex or property management will be an advantage
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Flexible to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays
