Job summary

A leading scientific instruments firm in Malaysia is seeking an Assembly Technician to join their team. This role involves assembling and testing electromechanical modules, ensuring quality output through self-inspection. Candidates should have 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and ideally hold a diploma in Engineering, Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronic, or Mechanical fields. The position requires detail-oriented individuals who can work independently and as part of a team, managing production schedules effectively.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics.
  • 2-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Relevant experience with precision assembly of electrical and/or electromechanical modules preferred.

  • Assembling and testing electromechanical modules and systems according to work order / instruction
  • Self-quality inspection to ensure good output
  • Self-starter to perform assigned work according to the production schedule, to contribute to team goals and expectations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Able to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematic and test instructions.
  • Work independently, team player, detail oriented, organized, and hands-on.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Relevant experience with precision assembly of electrical and/or electromechanical modules or systems preferred
  • Ability to work with engineers, members of management and other employees professionally
