We are looking to hire a full time Technician to be based at our Head Office in Bandar Sunway, Selangor.

Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and calibrate large format printing equipment at client or internal sites.
  • Ensure all hardware is properly connected and software/firmware is up to date.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on wide-format printers, plotters, and associated hardware.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and software issues in a timely manner.
  • Replace print heads, rollers, ink systems, and other components as needed.
  • Provide on-site or remote technical support to customers and internal teams.
  • Assist clients with printer operation, media handling, and software integration.
  • Train end users on proper maintenance and usage of hardware.
  • Run diagnostic tests to identify issues and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Conduct colour calibration, alignment, and output quality checks.
  • Manage parts inventory, order replacement parts, and track usage.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, replacements, and service logs.
  • Document all service calls, technical findings, and resolutions.
  • Generate service reports and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to manufacturer guidelines, safety protocols, and company policies.
  • Ensure all equipment meets compliance standards and is safe to operate.
  • Work closely with production teams, service coordinators, and vendors.
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical users and team members.
  • Identify opportunities for system upgrades or workflow improvements.
  • Provide input on new equipment purchases or modifications.
  • Travel to client locations for on-site installations or repairs.
  • Assist in other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Company from time to time.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, IT Hardware, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of hands‑on experience servicing and maintaining large format printers.
  • Strong knowledge of printer hardware components including printheads, carriage systems, ink delivery systems, motors, sensors, and control boards.
  • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance, calibration, alignment, and firmware updates.
  • Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Good problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and work outside of the normal working hours when required.
  • Ability to work extra hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
  • Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with excellent communication skills.
  • Self‑starter with a high level of initiative, strong sense of urgency.
