Job summary

A global leader in ecological transformation is seeking a Technician for its Johor Bahru location. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day operations of water and waste treatment systems, including monitoring, maintenance, and reporting. Ideal candidates should have 1-2 years of relevant experience or an engineering certificate. This position requires basic technical skills and the ability to work shifts and independently. Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in RODI system monitoring or WWT Plant system maintenance.
• Basic technical and hands-on skills required.
• Ability to write daily reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain water treatment systems according to SOPs.
• Report quality issues to supervisors.
• Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled.
• Document daily activities in a logbook.
• Assist with troubleshooting and minor repairs.

Roles

As Technician for work site. Responsible for work site & system day to day operations to meeting the required treatment quality & standard, perform scheduled job.

• Routine job includes but not limited to system monitoring and maintenance, troubleshooting and minor piping & equipment repairing job.
• Assist Leader to perform job.
• Assist Veolia ad‑hoc team to perform when required.

Responsibilities

To carry out day to day job properly according to Standard Operating Procedure or superior instruction.

• To understand all the Standard Operating Procedure for the said system(s) at work site
• To report to superior in case that the treatment results is not meeting required quality & standards
• To perform necessary job task effectively to meet required quality & complete within required time line
• To update system daily monitoring checklist to ensure all system operate in good condition and inform superior immediately on any system abnormality
• To assist leader carry out Preventive Maintenance (PM) job as per schedule & as and when required
• To carry out housekeeping & ensure site condition always in clean conditions
• To suggest to superior for parts, plant or system improvement and the best practices, if any
• By all mean, to avoid wasting resources (Utilities, Water, Energy, Time) & materials (Chemical, consumables) when preforming task.
• Communicate & record daily activity in logbook / communication book.
• To assist leader carry out troubleshooting / minor repair on equipment / piping
• Assist Veolia ad‑hoc team to perform job at the same work site when required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1/2 - 1 years working experiences in RODI system monitoring & maintenance or WWT (Physical Chemical Package) Plant system monitoring & maintenance or Certificate holder in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Environment)
• Qualification reviewed and approved by Veolia authorized personnel
• Basic technical / hands‑on skill
• Basic computer skill, SCADA operations
• Able to write daily reports

Other Requirements

• Able to work on shift basis & cover (replace) other shift technicians during emergency / when required
• Good team player
• Fast respond, escalation & able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Responsible
