Job summary

A medical device service provider in George Town is seeking a technician to handle servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of medical devices. The ideal candidate should have a diploma or degree in a relevant technical field and possess strong problem-solving skills. You'll be responsible for conducting installations and serving as a point of contact for customer inquiries while supporting audits and registrations. This position may require travel and independent work.

Qualifications

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Perform servicing, troubleshooting, and maintenance for aesthetic and medical devices (laser machines, treatment devices, etc.).
  • Conduct installation, calibration, testing, and routine inspections on equipment.
  • Prepare service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Coordinate delivery, rotation, and movement of device parts and equipment.
  • Assist in ordering medical device parts as required.
  • Assist in preparing for GDPMD (Good Distribution Practice for Medical Devices) internal audits.
  • Oversee and support the MDA (Medical Device Authority) registration process, including product verification and Medcast submission.
  • Monitor the application process for new and renewed device registrations.
  • Provide customer service for ExtraCare, handling inquiries related to machines and maintenance.
  • Perform general tasks related to ExtraCare operations.
  • Understand all devices and demonstrate equipment usage to clients when required.
  • Support the device application process for O2 Klinik as approved by the supervisor.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the superior or manager.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical, or related technical field.
  • Experience in equipment servicing or technical support is an advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with suppliers, clinics, and internal teams.
  • Able to work independently and travel when required.
