As part of SUPCON’s solutioning team, you will be part of an international team of experts, deployed regionally to support pre-sales and solutioning locally.
You are responsible for designing and delivering comprehensive solutions for our customers across Southeast Asia. You will represent SUPCON, working closely with local offices to support technical engagements with key customers, focusing on Automation, Industrial AI, Industrial IoT and related technologies. This role bridges the gap between customer needs, business goals, and technical implementation, ensuring that solutions are scalable, effective, and aligned with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirement Gathering & Analysis
- Engage with customers alongside our sales representatives across SEA to understand our customer's pain points and requirements.
- Conduct technical workshops, site surveys, and feasibility studies as necessary in support for SEA sales operations.
- Translate customer requirements into technical specifications for solutioning and development of technical proposals.
- Solution Architecture & Design
- Design end-to‑end technical solutions based on SUPCON's technology stack which includes:
- DCS/PLC/SIS/SCADA/APC and Industrial Software
- Pre‑Sales Technical Support & Customer Engagement
- Work closely with the sales team to drive technical success during opportunity development.
- Deliver compelling presentations, demos, and solution storylines tailored to SEA customers’ needs.
- Support solution proposals, and technical clarifications.
- Documentation & Deliverables
- Prepare system architectures, design documents, technical proposals, manuals, and training materials.
- Ensure deliverables are clear, accurate, professional, and aligned with SUPCON’s solutioning standards.
- Cross Functional Collaboration
- Work with sales teams to develop technical sales strategies
- Work with product teams to communicate market demands and translate customer needs into product roadmap inputs
- Coordinate with project implementation teams to ensure solution feasibility and mitigate implementation risks.
Qualifications & Experience
Core Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automation, Electrical/Control Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or related fields.
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in industrial automation, IIoT, or digital technologies.
- Strong hands‑on proficiency with control systems such as DCS, SIS, PLC, SCADA, as well as knowledge of industrial protocols, and control engineering fundamentals.
- Experience implementing IIoT platforms, data acquisition, and OT/IT integration (ISA‑95 alignment) preferred.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0, edge computing, and smart factory deployment preferred.
Soft Skills
- Strong presentation and customer communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical ideas into customer-friendly language.
- Independent, proactive, and able to collaborate across multicultural SEA teams.
- Fluent in English (mandatory).
- Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin is highly preferred.
