Job summary

A leading airport operator in Sibu is seeking a Technical Officer - Engineering (Mechanical System) to lead the operations and maintenance team. This role involves supervising the execution of maintenance works, managing contractors, and ensuring high standards of facility operations. Ideal candidates should have a Diploma in Engineering, relevant experience, and a CGPA of 2.8 or above. The position demands strong project management skills and up-to-date knowledge in airport technology.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in airport facilities.
  • CGPA of 2.8 above.
  • Knowledgeable in contract management and World Class Maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the O&M team executing works according to maintenance standards.
  • Supervise and ensure execution of the SAP System.
  • Revise PPM checklist and analyze technical reports for improvements.
  • Review facilities' performance and recommend upgrades.
  • Manage contractors and ensure service standards are met.
  • Execute master maintenance plans and budget approvals.

Job Description
POSITION GENERAL SUMMARY

Leads O&M team in executing the O&M works according to the specified maintenance standards and requirement so as to ensure the serviceability and reliability of facilities as well as operational efficiency and cost optimization.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
  • Supervises and ensure full execution of SAP System (Plant Maintenance Module)
  • Provide guidance; advice and direction to all subordinate and to promote high standard of maintenance culture; efficiency; productivity; teamwork; quality services and personnel job enrichment
  • Revises of PPM checklist; tasks list & master data and analyses technical reports; identifies trends for the facilities and equipment breakdowns and recommends for continuous improvement
  • Review the performance of the facilities/system and provide input and recommendation for any upgrading or refurbishment work
  • Establishment of new contract and managing and ensuring the contractors are delivering the service standard as required in the contract for outsourcing work.
  • Execute the master maintenance plans and master maintenance schedules as well as implementation of approved capital and operating budget
  • Analyses cost implications of the operations; maintenance and repair activities and recommend for budgetary.
  • Accountable for maintenance work in the airports
  • Enhancing management and leadership skill and knowledge of maintenance works

  • Knowledgeable in World Class Maintenance Concept
  • Keeps abreast with the latest technology in the industries
